My twin brother has played the guitar for years and been in orchestra, sang in a choir but I have never been musical at all, but thought I would give this a go and well it has been fantastic, really enjoyable and very well set out, with fantastic people giving support, I can now play a ukulele, yes still got a long way to go but wouldn't be anywhere near where I am without this group.

Joining the academy and learning to play has been so much fun. Smashing ‘community’ feel, really friendly and supportive. Seeing progress in myself which is great. No matter how awful my playing sounds, it just makes me smile such a diversion from the stresses of life. I pick up my uke and everything feels wonderful and tensions just lift. I joined after the death of my father - it’s simply been my salvation. Many of the songs have been ones he loved and this in itself has helped me with my grief. I can’t thank you enough.
